Kitchen Gadgets at 100 yen shop

Shopping

I love going to 100 yen shops to find some kitchen gadgets. Here is what I found yesterday.

This is a cutting board I found at DAISO Ginza. This is really compact (This one is 16cm ×20㎝ but there are few different sizes available) and light. I love it because it’s good to use in my small kitchen.

It has small drainer on the corner. It has a curve on one side so I can cut up small things and won’t drop them. It also has a small hole so you can hang it to dry. It is light so I can bring it over to pan or pot. What’s more, this is dish washer safe. On the package, it says you can use hot water or bleaching agent.

So I used it today and it was much better than I thought. I may get another one so I can use it for garlic or onions.

Another one I bought yesterday is this silicon wrap.

I had one before and was useful. (Unfortunately, I lost it…) I hate using wraps everytime I have leftovers or using microwaves. This one I bought at Seria. There were 2 sizes and this one was small.

It says on the package that it is good for -20C to 230 ℃ (-4F to 446F ) but not to be used on a direct flame or in an oven. It suggests to keep it with the plastic film that came with but I usually roll it (so the sticky side is inside) and put them in a plastic bag.

There are many kitchen gadgets at DAISO. Especially at DAISO Ginza (Just above UNIQLO TOKYO near Tokyo Metro Ginza Station/JR Yurakucho Station) or DAISO in Shibuya (near Shibuya Station. 1F of Mark City Shibuya) there are rows of kitchen and cleaning gadgets, beauty goods, DIY, snacks and stationeries and etc. If you go to some of the larger shops, they even have interior, travel goods, bags (although those may be more than 100 yen) or handi craft materials and so on. If you have not visited large 100 yen shops, I highly recommend it. (Especially when it’s too hot to walk around outside.)
